Adin's workshop (atelier)

All jewelry that goes on sale at Adin has to have passed through the workshop. A first control decides whether if anything needs to be done to it. A loose stone, a worn clasp that might soon break, a old repair that does not look right... Whatever it is, Adin will not sell a piece unless we can guarantee its authenticity and its durability up to a point. Each jewel is given a digital identity card that lists who checked it and what needs to be done. It is now ready to go onto the atelier.

Our atelier, while possessing the best that modern technology has to offer, in fact is unique for using wherever possible, only authentic tools and processes. Combine that with our teams of trained antique-goldsmiths and diamondsetters and it is clear that we work hard to maintain our reputation as the experts in the field.

Repairs are carried out in the roomy workshop floor. Should a piece have a stone missing a replacement can be found for it from our safes containing antique cut stones of all shapes and sizes. An authentic roller, trestle presses, wire stretchers and various other antique machines and tools that have been restored and brought back to into active service at Adin make sure that any repairs we make are seamless and smooth and of a quality that would have made the original makers proud.

Before crossing to sales the jewel still has to pass its final inspection. The expert checking will have to be convinced that the piece is worthy of being sold as an Adin antique. In other words, that it proves our dedication to quality preservation of our historic legacy: Custodies Historiæ Natituribus.
